On Sunday the 4th of October the Action Project team took to the streets of Sheffield to Participate in the village fete themed event 'Moor the Merrier' set up by Moor Sheffield (
http://www.moorsheffield.com/).
Armed with a game of hoop-la, this event gave us the perfect opportunity to meet and speak to the public of Sheffield, get their views, ideas and opinions about the empty shops which are spreading across the city centre.
Views varied enormously across a range of ages, genders and ethnicity:
"Bring back Woolworth's!"
"No more charity shops or temporary shops that sell things like Chinese fireworks, they make the place look run down."
"It's about time the Moor was brought back to life."
The team are now planning to compose a number of proposals to present to the public in response to their ideas, look out for more news on this event coming very soon.
